Lughnasadh Gathering - Saturday, 8th August
Corn Talisman making, campfire bread baking & coven ritual to honour & celebrate the first harvest.
Join Rituals Revived in a coven gathering of likeminded souls to celebrate the Pagan Sabbat of Lughnasadh.
Lughnasadh is the first of three harvest festivals and falls halfway between Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox. Traditionally, Lughnasadh marked the first harvest of the season. Surrounding this date, grains were gathered to brew beer and bake bread, communities joined together to share food and practice gratitude for nature's abundance.
In our private field, we’ll join in circle as a coven, call corners and shift into a sacred space with a seasonally themed guided meditation. We will then carry out a Lughnasadh ritual.
To honour the grain harvest we'll make traditional corn talismans, a calming craft that will connect us to the energy of harvest time and Lughnasadh.
We will then spend some time at a campfire cookery space, making bread to share together.
The afternoon will consist of:
- Greetings and introductions
- Casting circle and calling corners
- Guided visualisation
- A group ritual
- Corn talisman making
- Communal campfire bread making
- Sharing of the harvest bread we bake together
- Time to socialise with others
Everything included, just turn up!
